Ecclesiastes 11-12

Here's how the study works: Read the chapters mentioned in the heading during the week and share any words, thoughts, verses that stood out to you. Having a week for several chapters creates the opportunity to revisit them and make additional comments as you feel inclined as well as make comments on other people's insights.

11:5 As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.

(Constable) “we cannot understand all the ways God works to fulful his plan, but we can follow God’s rules for daily living and thus help bring God’s purposes to birth.”

While we don’t understand all the ways God works to fulfil his plan, we can help bring about God’s purposes by living a godly life.

12:1 Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, “I find no pleasure in them.”

People get old and life becomes difficult. Therefore enjoy life as God enables and serve him while you can.
