Galatians 2

Here's how the study works: Read the chapter mentioned in the heading several times during the week and share any words, thoughts, verses that stood out to you. Having a week for a chapter creates the opportunity to reread it several times and make additional comments as you feel inclined as well as make comments on other people's insights.

v.4 This matter arose because some false believers had infiltrated our ranks to spy on the freedom we have in Christ Jesus and to make us slaves.

Some people are keen to make us slaves. It seems they can't handle the freedom we have in Christ.

v.13 The other Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that by their hypocrisy even Barnabas was led astray.

No matter how long we have been a Christian and how much we "know" the fear of what others think of us, can still lead us astray.

v.21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!

Righteousness cannot be gained through the law.

If God could have spared Jesus the pain and suffering of the cross he would have, but there was no other way for us to be saved.
